Ode to Dr. Gary M. Browning Poem
By Delores B. OliverOn May the eight, nineteenth hundred and fifty-eight,
Was born Gary M. Browning, whose family boasted that he was first rate.
I’m sure that bells were loudly ringing,
And bluebirds were so sweetly singing.
They were proclaiming the birth of a special little one,
A precious gem, sparkling like the brilliance of the sun.
I became a patient of Dr. Browning several ago,
I swore when I saw him, around his head was a glowing halo.
He was not just a doctor, as many of you were aware,
Dr. Browning was a compassionate person who always cared.
When I was confronted with a medical problem and filled with fears,
Dr. Browning held my hands and wiped away my tears.
Instead of going home to get his much needed rest,
He took the time to call me with good news about my test.
The time when the loss of my mother made me a nervous wreck,
He gently calmed me down with his compassion and a reality check.
Dr. Browning assured me that my mother was now at peace,
Because of the unending love of God that will never ever cease.
Dr. Browning will be surely missed by all of us,
Be comforted in knowing he’s with someone we all can trust.
His love for people will be with us always,
We will remember him daily in our hearts when we pray.
Dr. Browning, we love you so very much,
Because of the many lives that you have touched.
REST IN PEACE, DR. GARY M. BROWNING

Debbier,
I knew I should have sent you an email two months ago when my mind was heavily weighted with thoughts of your brother (Gary). Heart felt sympathy is sent your way. I hope you and your family are doing okay. I enjoyed the slide show. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet Gary many years ago. Sincerely thinking of you and yours.
